McGruff Strategies Center and LINK-UP Educational Network
LINK-UP has uncovered hundreds of cases of child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and senior abuse through the careful monitoring of severe cases of animal abuse. Sergeant Thomas Flanagan, founder of LINK-UP, has trained police officers, domestic violence prevention advocates, veterinarians, and Animal Control officers at 60 sites across the United States. Since the inception of the program, the link between animal abuse and domestic violence has been thrust to the forefront of the field.
